SCGA Players Four Ball Championship

One of the most popular events that the SCGA conducts is the Players Four Ball Championship historically competed at Columbia Country Club. Played over a weekend in September, this event has become a favorite event for the players.
With the field broken into flights after the first round, participants of all abilities can come enjoy and still compete against other teams of the same caliber. Open to 2017 members of the SCGA who are residents of South Carolina. Both players must be at least 18 years of age as of September 23, 2017. Entries may be declined for those individuals who have not had reasonable activity on their club’s handicap roster as of the most recent update.
Entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August 30, 2017. Field will be limited to 60 teams. Priorities are as follows: (1) Exact teams that competed in the Championship & First Flight of the 2016 event and whose application is received by August 16th. (2) Teams with the lowest combined handicap index. Changes in partners after acceptance of entry and prior tournament history may result in loss of priority. Acceptance will be posted online at www.scgolf.org by noon September 1st.
USGA rules apply, 36-hole four ball stroke play. Four flights with approximately 15 teams in each flight.
Upon notification of acceptance, each team will be entitled to 1 practice round. Call the Golf Shop to make arrangements at 803-754-8109. Times available September 22nd and earlier based on space available. Reservations Required.
September 23 First round. Shotgun start at 9.00 a.m. with lunch following play.
September 24 Final round and awards. Shotgun start at 10.00 a.m.

Cart fees for the tournament are paid for the SCGA. Players are responsible for a $25 cart fee for the Practice Round to Columbia Country Club.
A $30.00 administration fee will be charged for all refunds until September 13th. No refunds after September 13th.
The SCGA reserves the right to refuse entry into any event based on behavior that may affect the integrity of our Association. Players are required to adhere to the dress code of the facility and conduct themselves in the manner of keeping with the highest standards of the SCGA. Players refusing to comply will be disqualified from the competition.
