Member Outings allow SCGA members to participate in SCGA organized non-competitive golf outings. Member Outings focus on increasing the exposure of the SCGA to more golfers, who may not necessarily participate in SCGA Championship events. The SCGA would like Member Outings to be an opportunity for golfers of all skill ranges to enjoy a fun-filled day of golf with friends at an SCGA member golf course that they may not normally have the chance to play.
Events are open to all members (men and women) of all skill levels, who want to participate in no-pressure golf at a premier course. No Handicap Index required. Bring a group of friends or join us as a single and we’ll pair you with some future friends.
Please note that the each Member Outing will have a dress code in effect that all participants must adhere to. This may include the prohibition of cargo shorts, cargo pants and denim. The dress code will be emailed to each participant with the pairings.

Bear Creek GC:
Bear Creek Golf Club combines the unique personality of the Temecula/Murrieta Valley with the finest Club traditions from around the world. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and nowhere else in Southern California has there been a more successful blending of a private and renowned championship golf course, an elegant residential community, ideal year-round weather, and surrounding natural beauty and stunning vistas. Bear Creek is enhanced by rolling hills, panoramic views, and clear blue skies. Our air is pristine and our climate provides conditions that are ideal for year-round golf, gracious living and entertaining.
Fashioned after the classic golf courses of Scotland, the property was constructed to the strictest standards, under the personal supervision of Jack Nicklaus. The natural terrain of rolling hills, four streams and two lakes present a perfect site. Comparatively little of the natural terrain was disturbed and minimal grading was required. Special attention was given to the 200-year old oak trees that dot the course. Nicklaus drew inspiration for Bear Creek’s unique design from his commitment to preserve our more than 225 mature California oak trees. Additionally, he was determined to make certain his design harmonized with the environment and our California life-style.
Never more challenging, Bear Creek’s signature hole number four, offers a stunning 415 yard, 3rd handicap par 4 confrontation. This exceptional dual fairway is highlighted by penalizing bunkers, dramatic vistas and a double tier green. To accentuate the extreme difficulty of this Nicklaus masterpiece, a creek meanders through the heavily wooded fairway directly in front of the punishing green.
“Bear Creek has the finest greens in Southern California and are in the top 2 greens I play on Tour.”
- PGA Touring Professional and Bear Creek Golf Club Member Tom Pernice, Jr.
