Purpose:  This workshop is designed to educate people on the basics of the rules.  As always, there will be a focus on the Definitions and some of the more common rules with their application and misconceptions. 

Who Should Attend:  All people who want to remain current with the rules as well as those with little or no knowledge of the Rules.

Eligibility:  This workshop is open to the public.  Space may be limited according to the site with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Continuing Education:  PGA professionals receive eight (8) MSR hours for attending.  MN Other golf industry professionals should contact their respective associations to see if continuing education credit is available.

Doug Hoffmann, MGA Tournament Director & PGA Master Professional

Hoffmann is in his 15th season as the Tournament Director for the MGA.  A 26-year member of the PGA of America, He gained his Master Professional status by earning Specialty Certification in both the Rules of Golf and Tournament Operations.  He has spent 23 years in golf administration conducting tournaments for players of all all ages and abilities, including the USGA, PGA TOUR and PGA of America, in addition to managing the Rules Education and Tournament programs for the MGA.  Hoffmann teaches at all of the Workshops and Orientations.
