Total Field: TBA qualifying players prior to the second chance qualifier. There will be TBA qualifying spots available to advance to the Championship, July 23-29 at Sand Creek Station Golf Course (Newton, KS). Players who qualify for the Championship must notify the KGA if they do not plan to compete in the Championship. Failure to notify the KGA may result in suspension from future KGA events.

Exempt Players: There are TBA exempt players entered.

Qualifying Format: 18 holes of stroke play. Playoffs will be conducted at each qualifier to determine the exact number of qualifiers advancing from each site. No alternates will be designated as players will have the opportunity to attempt to qualify again at the 2nd Chance Qualifier on July 11th.

2nd Chance Qualifier: The 2nd Chance Qualifier is available for those players that failed to advance out of one of the four original qualifying sites or missed the posted June 8th entry deadline. Entries for the 2nd Chance Qualifier will open on July 1st and close on July 7th at 4:00 pm. The field is limited to 102 players. There will be a minimum of TBA qualifying spots available at the 2nd Chance Qualifying site. Entry fee for the 2nd Chance Qualifier is $80.

Prizes: Qualifying medalist will receive a trophy; no gift certificates. Note: The KGA’s Bradley Award (for scoring a hole in one on any hole) is not awarded during the qualifying rounds.

Practice Rounds: No official practice round is available. Each hosting club has its own policy regarding access for a practice round. The KGA does not guarantee a practice round at this stage of the Championship. Please contact the professional staff at your qualifying site to determine whether you may play a practice round, and whether there is a charge.

Practice Range: Weather permitting, the practice range at each qualifying site will be open at least 45 minutes prior to the first starting time. Practice balls are complimentary to contestants prior to the round only (balls will likely be located on the range for you).

Registration: There is no registration at the qualifying sites. You are responsible for being at your starting tee approximately 5 minutes prior to your starting time. Failure to notify the KGA of withdrawal prior to the qualifying round may result in suspension from future KGA events.

Carts, Caddies: Carts are permitted at each sectional qualifying site. Cost of a cart is the player’s responsibility. Players may provide their own caddie (see dress code).

Cellular Phones: Cellular phones are prohibited at all KGA events. You may carry your cell phone set to the silent/vibrate mode. Violations may result in player’s removal from the qualifier for unbecoming conduct.

Food and Beverage: Limited availability (if playing on a Monday at a private club); check with the club regarding payment with cash or reciprocal sign-back.

Pairings: Every effort was made to meet a player’s request for qualifying site and starting time. If an error was made, contact the KGA immediately. Otherwise, we ask that you not request a change in your assigned site or starting time. Pairings for the Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf COurse will be available after the final qualifier is completed (approximately July 13th).

Attire, Conduct: Proper attire is required. Slacks, Bermuda-length shorts, collared golf shirt. No tank tops, T-shirts, jeans (including denim shorts of any color) or “cargo-style” pants or shorts. Shirts must be tucked in and if a hat is worn, the bill must be worn forward. This applies to your caddie also. Any act of unsportsmanlike conduct, including the use of obscene or abusive language, will be cause for disqualification and the player may be subject to suspension from future KGA events.
