6th SCGA MATCH PLAY AND SENIOR MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP:

ELIGIBILITY: 24 spots will be reserved for the top finishers on the SCGA Match Play Points List. If any of the top 24 players on this list decline their invitation, the next player(s) on the list will be awarded the spot. The remaining 8 spots will be given to the low 8 scores at the SCGA Match Play Qualifier on August 1 at Brookside GC to create a total field size of 32 players. SCGA members with a handicap index of 5.4 or below are eligible to attempt to qualify.
The SCGA Match Play Points List is a cumulative total of the 2012 SCGA Player of the Year Points List and 2013 SCGA Player of the Year Points List through the SCGA Amateur Championship in July.

QUALIFIER ENTRY FEE: $60 (The 8 low qualifying participants who advance will then be charged the Championship Fee of $150)
CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY FEE: $150
REFUND POLICY: Full refund less $10.00 processing fee if requested prior to closing date. 50% refund after the closing date and 48 hours prior to the event. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
FORMAT: Single elimination match play. 32 players will participate in both the championship and senior championship divisions.
WITHDRAWAL POLICY
Withdrawal prior to the start of a competition:
To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of an SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Rules and Competitions Department. During business hours (7:30a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) you may call the Rules and Competitions Department at (818)980-3630, by email at rules@scga.org or withdraw online through your player profile account. Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
Withdrawal during an SCGA competition:
All players are expected to complete the competition which they start. Acceptable reasons for withdrawal during a competition are physical injury, illness, or an emergency. Poor play is not an acceptable reason for withdrawal. A player who withdraws without an acceptable reason or without notifying SCGA personnel will be subject to suspension from future SCGA competitions. If a player is aware of a possibility of withdrawal (e.g. injury) he should notify the SCGA as soon as possible and before pairings are announced for the next day.
All players who start a round must return a scorecard personally to SCGA staff or an SCGA official even if they are officially withdrawing. Players who do not follow this policy will be subject to suspension from future SCGA competitions. Players who withdraw also must sign and attest that the hole by hole scores are correct for the fellow-competitor's scorecard they were keeping and return that card to the fellow-competitor or another marker in the group.
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY
By submitting an entry for any SCGA-administered competition, the contestant understands that his/her participation is at the sole discretion of the SCGA. A contestant may be removed from any competition at the discretion of the SCGA staff or Rules and Competitions Committee at any time before or during the competition. Incidents of unbecoming conduct or actions deemed to be detrimental to the image of the SCGA or the “Spirit of the Game” are grounds for such removal and suspension from future SCGA-administered competitions.These include, but are not limited to the following:
1) Willful damage of the golf course or golf course property
2) Club throwing or unnecessary club tossing
3) Offensive or unbecoming language
4) Public criticism of golf course or verbal abuse of SCGA staff,officials, volunteers, host club staff or other contestants
5) Potential endangerment of others
6) Conduct deemed unbecoming
