Entries are open to teams of four male amateur golfers who are members in good standing of the same OGA Member Club. Each OGA Member Club is limited to a maximum of 3 team entries. All contestants must be at least 13 years of age as of October 7, 2017.
36-hole stroke play team competition. The low 3 of 4 individual gross scores each day will represent the team’s aggregate. In the event of a tie for the Team Championship, the unused individual’s score of the final round will be counted. If teams are still tied, then the unused individual’s score of the first round will be counted. Should the tie still exist, duplicate awards will be issued.
$600.00 team entry fee must accompany entry form and will include:
- 3 rounds of golf - One practice round and two competitive rounds
- Tee Prizes
- Merchandise certificate awards will be made on the basis of team GROSS finish
- Merchandise certificate awards to top individual finishers
- Special awards from Jones Sports Co. will be awarded to the winning team
- THERE WILL BE NO NET PRIZES.
Refunds are not available after the closing date of September 20th, except for documented medical reasons. All refunds are subject to a $20.00 administrative fee.
Entries will be accepted according to the date of receipt of entry and entry fee. Entry deadline September 20th. Entries by telephone, fax, or email must accompany payment and must be received by 5pm of the deadline. Online entries are accepted until midnight. Late entries will be accepted and placed on an alternate's list to fill spots if they become available up until a time that the OGA Staff establishes. Late entries will not be accepted unless they are accompanied by the correct entry fee, plus an additional fee of $25. Contestants must contact the OGA in order to submit a late entry.
The defending championship team, Royal Oaks CC, and any OGA Member Club that hosts a 2017 OGA Championship, USGA or OGA Qualifier, or Junior Amateur Championship is eligible for one guaranteed entry into the Championship. Exempt team players must meet the eligibility requirements & must file an entry by the September 20th, 2017 entry deadline.
The field is limited to 36 teams. Teams will be granted entry based on the lowest teams combined Handicap Indexes™ as of the September 15, 2017 revision date. A club may enter up to three teams but additional teams will be put on a waiting list. After the September 20, 2017 closing deadline, all remaining spots will be filled from the waiting list. The waiting list teams will be granted entry based on the lowest teams combined Handicap Indexes™ as of the September 15, 2017 revision date.
CLUBS MAY SUBMIT AN ENTRY AND ENTRY FEE WITH PLAYER NAMES TO BE DETERMINED AT A LATER DATE. All teams must submit player names to the OGA by September 20, 2017 or forfeit their entry
