All OJGA Events Close at 5:00pm on the Closing Date.
This OJGA Major is conducted course staff by the staff and volunteers of the OJGA.
All division winners will receive an invitation to the season ending Junior Tournament of Champions.
This event requires that you have passed the OJGA Rules of Golf Quiz (please see #3 below).

13.Fundraisers
1. ELIGIBILITY: This event is open to all youth who are at least 8 years of age as of the first day of the event but no older than 17 years of age on the final scheduled day.
2. OJGA MEMBER DISCOUNT: 2012 OJGA Members will receive a $10 discount during the registration process. OJGA Membership is open to golfers who are at least 8 years of age (as of 8/15/2012) but no older than 17 years of age (as of 4/1/2012) and are permanent or summer residents of Oregon or SW Washington. 4. TOURNAMENT ENTRY/APPROVAL PROCESS: It is not uncommon for our events to sell-out and the best way to ensure entry is to register as soon as possible. In 2012, OJGA is offering pre-registration for all events beginning on May 1.

5. OREGON JUNIOR GOLF POINTS SYSTEM: This event will award Performance Points based up your finish within your division. This event also awards Junior Team Points. To learn more, please

6. PRACTICE ROUNDS/COURSE YARDAGE: Unless otherwise indicated here, practice rounds are not included in your entry fee. At public facilities, you are welcome to contact the host course to schedule a practice round at the going rate. Please do not contact private facilities requesting practice rounds.

7. LODGING: The Oregon Junior Golf Association has not secured discounted lodging for this event.
8. OJGA CODE OF CONDUCT: The following code of conduct governs behavior at all OJGA sanctioned tournaments, OJGA Majors, and all USGA Qualifiers administered by OJGA. The OJGA Code of Conduct does not allow:
Cheating, Club throwing, Obscene or vulgar language, Use of alcohol, drugs or tobacco products, Littering, defacing or destroying club property or the property of other players or spectators, Disrespecting and/or ignoring instruction of club personnel, volunteers, or OJG staff, Use of electronic devices during the stipulated round including cell phones in a non-emergency situation, Failure to appear for your starting time without notifying the Committee or properly withdrawing from the event, Withdrawing during a competition without an acceptable reason or failing to notify the Committee prior to withdrawing (Acceptable reasons for withdraw include illness, injury, or family emergency), and Any other behavior deemed by the Committee to be unacceptable or disrespectful.
A player breaching the Code of Conduct during a competition will receive a warning. Any subsequent offense during the same competition may result in your immediate removal from the course and possible future suspension from future OJG competitions.
Any player that breaches the Code of Conduct will receive a written notice of the breach and be informed that and subsequent breach during the season may result in the player’s immediate removal from the course and possible suspension from future OJG competitions.
In the event that the Committee deems the player to have committed a serious breach of the Code of Conduct, the Committee reserves the right, without warning, to remove the player from the course and render and immediate suspension from the current and/or future competitions.
9. OJGA DRESS CODE: OJGA has developed the following standard dress code that is in effect at all OJGA sanctioned tournaments, OJGA Majors, and all USGA Qualifiers administered by OJGA Staff.
Juniors who are at an event and fail to comply with this code may not be permitted to play. This dress code will be in effect before, during and after your round of golf and applies to all club premises (golf course, club house, pro shop, etc.).
Acceptable attire does not include denim, spandex body-wear, cut-offs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, halter tops, or tee-shirts.
Boys
Bottoms: Acceptable attire includes neat and clean pants, slacks, cords, or shorts, appropriately tailored and/or hemmed. Shorts must be no more than 6 inches above the top of the knee or 2 inches below the bottom of the knee. A belt must be worn with all bottoms that have belt loops.
Tops: Acceptable tops include sweaters, sweatshirts and golf shirts with collars. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Baseball style and similar styled hats must be worn forward at all times and should be removed anytime you enter a building.
Shoes must be worn at all times however metal or traditionally designed spikes are not permitted and their use will result in an immediate disqualification.
Girls
Bottoms: Acceptable attire includes neat and clean skirts, pants, slacks, cords, capris, or shorts, appropriately tailored and/or hemmed. Shorts must be no more than 6 inches above the top of the knee. Rain suits are also acceptable.
Tops: Acceptable attire includes sweaters, sweatshirts and golf tops. Shirts do not need to be tucked in, however the midriff must be covered at all times (including during the swing)
Shoes must be worn at all times however metal or traditionally designed spikes are not permitted and their use will result in an immediate disqualification.
10. RULES OF PLAY: USGA Rules of Golf will be in effect at all OGA sanctioned junior tournaments except as modified by the OGA Local Rules and Conditions of Competition (available at each tournament and by
clicking here) and any supplemental Local Rules provided at each tournament site.
Note that OJGA does not use the Local Rule that permits the use of artificial or electronic distance measuring devices. Though you may use such device during practice rounds, their use during an OJGA competition will result in your disqualification.
11. SPECTATORS: OJGA encourages parents to attend and passively participate in spectating at this event. However, please understand that spectators must never take action to influence play in any way and must abide by the following rules. Failure to follow the below Rules may results in penalties and sanctions against both the spectator and the player including removal from the course.
a. Spectators may not leave the rough or the cart path during their time on the course. They may not stand or walk in the following areas: the fairway, teeing areas, fringe or putting greens and water hazards or bunkers.
b. Spectators must remain at least 20 yards (60 feet) from ALL players when spectating. (Exception: Spectators may be located within 20 yards for the following reasons only: Medical assistance, food, water or clothing exchange and assisting players in searching for a ball).
c. Spectators must not communicate (either visual or verbal) with any player in a way that could influence or suggest how a player should play the game. This includes information related the Rules of Golf. Spectator carts are not allowed. (Exception: with DMV/Disabled Sticker).
Spectators with any questions regarding the policies above should contact OJGA Staff or a member of the Junior Golf Tournament Committee for clarification.
12. SPECTATOR CART POLICY: OJGA only permits spectator carts when one of the riders has been issued a permanent or temporary DMV Disabled Person Parking Permit.
Spectator carts must stay on the cart path and remain 20 yards (60 feet) from all players at all times and may not under any circumstances be used to transport or carry anything for any player in the competition (including rain gear, umbrellas, food & water, or otherwise).
Spectator carts are not to be used to shuttle other spectators around the course and at no time should a cart be in motion without the disabled individual driving or riding. However, spectator carts may be used to provide transportation in the event of a medical emergency to a player or another spectator.
If you wish to rent a cart you must present your DMV permit in the golf shop and pay any applicable cart rental fee charged by the facility.

13. FUNDRAISERS: The Oregon Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose operations are primarily supported through donations. This year we will host 3 primary fundraisers that we ask you consider participating, spreading the word, or volunteering to help. The three events include: The
Oregon Youth Best-Ball Fundraiser hosted by Tualatin Country Club on June 4th, The Oregon Junior Golf Marathon scheduled at the OGA Golf Course on July 10th, and the LPGA Safeway Classic hosted by Pumpkin Ridge on August 17 - 19. Thank you for your support!
